Yamuna Gently Weeps

In early 2006, about 150,000 residents of Delhi were rendered homeless after their homes in the slums on the banks of the Yamuna river were demolished by the Indian government.

The demolition destroyed not just the huts, but the hopes and dreams too, of a class of people which survives on pennies a day.
